In the morning of December 15, 2017, at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu Campus, the signing of collaboration agreement happened between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh city (UEH) and 11 Southern Statistics Offices (TP.HCM, Can Tho, An Giang, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Ben Tre, Binh Phuoc, Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang and Tra Vinh). The collaboration agreement is to establish the cooperative relationship in training, research, consulting, critical thinking based on win-win situation, mutual benefits, and development of good relationship between Statistics Offices and UEH.

Representing UEH, there were Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong – President; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai – Vice President, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Van – Dean of the School of Economics Mathematics – Statistics; Dr. Ha Van Son and Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh – Vice Dean of the School Economic Mathematics – Statistics and other staffs of the School.
The collaboration agreement between Statistics Offices and UEH focuses on cooperating in statistics training, with levels such as: Master, second degree Bachelor, part-time Bachelor and training, updating programs for administrative officers.
As for cooperative research, Statistics Offices and UEH cooperate in conducting the scientific research projects to develop professional skills and socio-economic development in provinces. Additionally, the two parties also cooperate in consulting statistic methods as well as the syllabus of Statistics training program; co-consulting to propose provincial socio-economic developing strategy ; evaluating the current socio-economic developing strategy; suggesting socio-economic developing strategy through research results. Make cooperative participation and critical thinking of statistics findings ; statistics-relating policies issued by the Communist Party and Government; policies issued by local government to solve local problems; socio-economic development policies and research programs suggested and carried out by organizations and individuals.
